Why a Digital Detox Could Be the Reset You Need

Did you know the average person checks their phone 96 times a day? That’s almost once every 10 minutes leaving us feeling constantly “switched on.”

In a world more reliant on technology than ever before, we’re glued to screens that emit blue light (which research shows can suppress melatonin, the hormone that helps us fall asleep and stay asleep) and constantly distracted with most of us scrolling whilst watching TV. This constant over stimulation leaves us constantly switched on and unable to relax. When our sleep is disrupted, we miss out on the deep rest phases where the body processes emotions, repairs tissues, and resets for the next day.
